Objective: The primary objective of this study is to restore meaningful conceptual foundations to construction technology, as modern construction practices often adopt an exploitative approach toward nature.Another objective is to develop multifunctional and desirable urban spaces, as rapid urban population growth has increased the demand for high-quality public spaces.Among its other goals is the application of elements and indicators of local and traditional architecture based on modern construction technology in the design of urban of new technology to further harmonize new structures with the environment, similar to the architecture of the past.
Methods: A mixed-method research approach was employed for data collection. In the qualitative part, the theoretical framework of the project was extracted by referring to library resources; then, for the quantitative part (to prove the validity of the qualitative part), the survey method and questionnaire was used.
Results: The overall concept factor in construction technology with the special subfactors was evaluated by experts in the field of architecture and civil engineering. The average scores for all factors were calculated and considered as the factor score, then a confirmatory factor analysis model was conducted for it, based on which the absolute value of the T-statistic for the light and color subfactor with a value greater than 1.96 had the highest correlation with the overall concept factor in construction technology. The ranking of other factors with a very small value compared to the light and color subfactor in order from highest to lowest included social, safety and security, amenities and comfort, environmental health and quality, structure and materials, living space furniture and plants.
Conclusions: The most effective factor that gives meaning and significance to technology, based on the degree of impact, is the sub-factor of light and color, with the most influential sub-indice including the use of cold colors in lighting and materials (blue, indigo, green, etc.). Other sub-factors, in brief, based on their insignificant degree of impact, include social factors with the sub-indices of designing spaces that encourage indigenous and local culture and art, designing based on free circulation in all spaces, etc., designing open and closed walkways, placing chairs and benches on the walkways of the Shorabil area. This result is directly related to the principles of sacred art, which creates a dynamic space in the city that improves the social interactions of citizens, enriches the appearance of the urban space, and proposes appropriate solutions for and preventing encroachment on the environment.
